The journey to becoming a Gestalt Soul Care Mentor is fundamentally about learning a healing art form and experiencing it from multiple vantage points. Like any art form, this practice is as much "caught" as it is "taught"—developed through immersive exposure, relational practice, thoughtful feedback, and observation of those further along the path.
The GSC Mentor certification process is fundamentally skills-based rather than checklist-driven. Certification is awarded only when mentors demonstrate genuine mastery—not simply familiarity—with the material, showing that knowledge has been internalized and can be fluidly applied in real-world scenarios.
